i got myself a dslr last week. it's a canon eos 400d kit i bought in quiapo. yeah, compared to the malls, prices there are cheaper and i guess their products are legit. i went for an eos400d rather than an olympus e-330 for 20k less. s=

it was a bold move from a point-and-shoot camera. it is a whole new experience. the shutter/aperture sound is real and looking and composing your shot through a viewfinder is really different from the point-and-shoot. not that i'm hating my other camera, but it is really amazing taking shots from a dslr. all i did up until now was take practice shots to be familiar w/ it. though some of my shots, i'm very much satisfied. will still have some practice though. soon i'll be able to shoot an event. hm... i am expecting that to be uberhard to do. but i'm willing to do it since it will be a worthwhile experience. about pix and shots: sis says it matters NOT what cam, its the person who has the eye for a subject and THEN, the skill to capture it...so intellectual, but true.. my cuzn, used the old manual rewind -before -click and got great shots.. my other cuzn-in-law has a digi cam and manages to bring to sand pix to life... < head nods > with you dlsr...hanep, professional hobby ito.. click away, boingky and beyond Ü

Yen: ayan, may pic na. wahehe...

BryMac: thanks! a good choice indeed. =D

~a~: yup, there is a truth in what you said, but a spectacular shot may be ruined when using a low-quality camera to capture it. i believe it's a combo of a keen eye, creativity, technicals, and the gear. but then again others have that "magical" touch, the talent to do it. =]
