waw. you've just upgraded your pc. and it's a 64bit machine. kewl. and waw. fc5 recently came out. now, why don't you get a dvd iso of the 64bit version, burn it, and install it? ah. already done w/ it? good.
now, fire up firefox, then head to a flash site like youtube (and search for Bitoy/bubble gang spoofed videos). so, okay, you still don't have flash plugin. click the link and d/l the plugin. untar it and try to install it. what, can't install it? oh, yeah, the plugin you d/led is not 64bit. rats. google "firefox flash 64" and check out some of the results. you learn that macromedia (or adobe) doesn't provide a 64bit version of their plugin yet. you also learn that there is a petition asking the company to provide the 64bit version. why don't you sign the petition? you also learn that you can install the x86 version of firefox and make the plugin work. that is exactly what you did.

- uninstalled the 64bit version of firefox
- installed x86 version of compat-libstdc++-33
- d/led the latest version of firefox from their website
- bloated it on a temporary directory
- copied the flash plugin files on the plugins subdirectory
- run firefox from the temporary directory and tried out flash sites
