i attended a studio lighting workshop in preparation for the next class that i will be taking. it was handled by sirLeo, who was also my teacher in Photoworks and will-be teacher in Photoworks2.
in this workshop, i learned the characteristics of light and how to see things not as objects but the light. i learned how to control the direction of the light, modify its quality, and measure its intensity. but the most difficult thing i learned (or learning) is how i communicate w/ people especially the models. even if i have good lighting setup, a shot can turn out bad if i won't be able to bring out what i want from the subject. i'm still learning how to communicate effectively, even in real life. ah, well. here are some of my shots taken during the workshop.
